Horse Programs

The Ranch at CYO Camp Don Bosco horse program focuses on horsemanship and fun. Our low pressure non-competitive program teaches children how to care for the horse they are assigned to and to become comfortable riding and working with them on the ground.

The Ranch 2025/2026 School Year Calendar

Horse Club

Spend time at the corral with other horse loving kids. You’ll learn the ins and outs of horse care and ownership. We’ll be riding, doing ground lessons and having tons of fun at the corral. The last session ends with a game day and treats where parents are encouraged to see what the kids have learned.

Sundays Fall 2025 and Spring 2026
6 Sundays per session $600.
Session Options:

Pony Pals Club (Grades 1-2): 11:00am-12:30pm

Horse Around Club (Grades 3-9): 1pm-2:30pm

Horse Around Club (Grades 3-9) 3:00pm-4:30pm 

New! Fridays 2025-2026
1:15pm-2:45pm grades K-5 $400 a month with optional walking group from Mosaic school.

*Generous Scholarships available. We want to ensure that finances are not the reason a child can't experience horse club.

Preschool Pony Pals

Come have fun learning about all about ponies and riding. Children will be assigned a pony that will become a great friend and teacher for them. They’ll gain confidence and bond with their pony through brushing, riding and playing games.

Fridays 11am-12pm

2.5-6 years old $200 per month

Lessons

Group Lessons

1.5 hour group lessons ($100) are available on Saturdays.  These lessons focus on horsemanship and building a solid foundation for more advanced skills.  These lessons are limited to 3-4 youth.  Please email megan.raymond@seattlearch.org to register.

Grades 3-5 12:00pm-1:30pm group lessons

Grades 6-10 at 2:00-3:30pm

Private and Semi-Private Lessons

1 hour private ($100) and semi private ($75) lessons available. These lessons have a focus on western or english riding with an emphasis on building a solid relationship with their horse. Lessons are individually catered to meet the needs and goals of the students. The lessons are scheduled around our instructor’s availability. Adult Lessons and Leases

Our adult horse lessons and lease programs are designed to accommodate riders of all experience levels, from beginners to advanced. Lessons focus on building confidence, improving riding skills, and fostering a deep connection between the rider and horse. For those seeking more consistent riding opportunities, our lease options provide the chance to develop your horsemanship with a dedicated horse. Whether you’re looking to enhance your technique or enjoy regular horseback riding, our supportive environment and experienced instructors ensure a rewarding and fulfilling equestrian experience. Volunteer Opportunities

We’re looking for volunteers interested in helping maintain our herd of horses. Some duties may include feeding, cleaning stalls, weeding, moving horses between pastures, exercise riding and assisting with lessons.

Spring Break Horse Camp

Give your child an unforgettable spring break filled with horses, outdoor fun, and new friendships! Our Spring Break Horse Camp is designed for riders of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced.
